Practical Steps to Know Your Skin Type
{YBA} I have already written an article to determine your skin type by simple approach. Skin seems to be normal for everyone but dermatologist classify the skin in different types to treat them efficiently. Ascertaining your skin type is an important first step in knowing how to treat your skin, what products to use, and how to Have Perfect Skin.
Fortunately, determining your skin type is easy, and the following practical steps will help you when buying moisturizers, cosmetics and facial cleansers.
1. Face Washing
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry. Give your skin a fresh start by removing make-up and cleansing away oils and dirt that may have accumulated during your day.
2. A tough task, Wait for an hour
It is very important to bring your skin back to the natural state so don’t touch your face and wait for an hour. Read a story book, romantic novel or a movie but don’t be busy in a activity that can upset your skin again.
3. Dab your face with separate piece of tissues
Press a separate piece of tissue onto each area of your face like chin, center of cheeks, outer cheeks, center of forehead, outer forehead and nose. Pay attention to the T-Zone (Area which is the center of forehead, nose, chin and center of cheeks)
4. Knowledge about your skin type
This practical will help you in the determination of four major types of skin i.e normal, oily, dry and combination.
- Examine each tissue and look for oily residue or flaky skin residue, Normal skin shows neither oil nor flaking skin. It should feel supple and smooth. If you have it, you are lucky. It cost you treat 😉
- Oil on each tissue indicates an Oily skin type, It is also common for a person with oily skin to have large pores and a shine.
- Flaky skin residue on all tissues, without oily residue or a tight feeling in the skin indicates a Dry skin type.
- If the skin is oily in the T-zone and normal to dry elsewhere, than it indicates a Combination skin type.

- Remember that there are many factors that affect your skin type, such as weather, emotions, hormones and stress, and this will cause your skin type to be in a constant state of fluctuation.
