Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2010 – 2011 Collection By Stefano Pilati
{YBA} Yves Saint Laurent is an iconic brand and whaever they produce should be perfect. Stefani Pilati knows that and tries to always be creative but classic approach is a must for him. He says he uses ‘certain elements from the archives’ and changes them so that they looked modern.
Stefano Pilati gave WWD a first look look at his 2011 resort collection for Yves Saint Laurent before it is unveiled during a press event today in New York at the French Consulate.
“Resort started for the American market. And so, this is a sort of a mini-show in New York in a space that could breathe a bit of French history by itself. You know, a collaboration,”
Pilati said of the decision to present his cruise line in the U.S. Inspired by iconic pieces from the YSL archives, Pilati offers a twist on classic Saint Laurent cuts by adding bold details, looks that he hopes will translate into major sales come November.
YSL Cruise 2011 collection by Stefano Pilati presented lot of wide leg jumpsuits, printed dresses, caped jackets, bandeau top with a long skirt, vibrant shades of coral, lilac, and fuchsia for day and night and lot more.
Some of stylish looks flaunted by models were a bandeau top with a long skirt, smoking jacket revived with shorts, cape-sleeved coat with high-waist wide pants and above the knee skirt worn with a delicate blouse.
