Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova, Karen Elson in Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 Campaign | by Steven Meisel
{YBA} In the fourth campaign photo shoot for Louis Vuitton, Steven Meisel has produced another richly evocative set of images in a New York studio, Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2010-2011 fashion campaign brings together three decades of supermodels world’s most beautiful Celebs Christy Turlington, Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova in a series of exquisite images that capture the eternally feminine spirit of the runway show.
Soft sepia tones and a set resembling a movie star’s dressing room conjure an ambiance that combines intimacy with cinematic glamour as the models pose in the season’s sweet bustiers, Fifties knits and sweeping skirts, surrounded by stacks of shoe boxes from which peep the collection’s charmingly retro bow-fronted pumps. In keeping with the ladylike mood, the spotlight also falls on Louis Vuitton’s dazzling reinterpretations of its iconic Speedy handbag, in alligator, waxed calf leather, or flocked and sequined Monogram canvas.
( Steven Meisel shot all three Charming models in a New York studio made to look like a Hollywood star’s old-fashioned dressing room. Turlington, Elson, and Vodianova look perfectly put together dressed in Jacobs’s “And God Created Woman” collection of corseted waists and circle skirts with their hair in the same fresh-looking,’50s-style high ponytails from the Vuitton runway.)
