Libas by Sehyr Saigol – PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2010

Libas – Sehyr Saigol

The work of Sehyr Saigol of Libas was fantastic in terms of being stunning, elegant, detailed and with the distinct Pakistani stamp on it. The clothes by these designers were subtle yet detailed, the designs converged on feminine grace and made innovative use of western cuts while still maintaining the essential eastern look.

I don’t think that it is fair for the Afghan people that these wannabe’s are claiming this sort of clothing as their own (specially the girl wearing the red bell shaped dress). It isn’t Pakistani clothing, and it never was. A shalwar kameez or a Punjabi is different than what can be seen on Afghan traditional dresses.
Pakistani clothing is far different than Afghan clothing, this is an obvious.
    This is outrageous and disgusting.

These are Afghan clothing, the fact that you think its Pakistani.. shows how deep you are into fashion :/

I like the clothes, they have a modern feel to them.. but this still is and always will be the Afghan stamp for our culture!

    Hi,

Each one of you seem to be upset at the fact that the designer used “Afghan” clothing…just so you know that We Pukhtoons live in Pakistan and it is our traditional dress too. So if a Pakistani designer has given it a bit modern feel then you dont have to come crying here as as a Pakistani she can do that…
